WRC 11

Hi all,

Just to pen down what happened at the Working Party meeting for the upcoming WRC 11.

Amongst the matter discussed were:-

  1. Review allocations (30-300 MHz) or regulatory provisions for radiolocation services and to consider requirements for new applications;
  2. Secondary allocation of about 15kHz to the amateur service (415-526.5 kHz)
The WP recommendations are:-

  1. Malaysia does not support the frequency band 154-156 MHz and 138-144MHz to be allocated on a primary basis with the existing services.
  2. Malaysia supports the allocation of about 15kHz in parts of the band 415-526.5 kHz on a secondary basis. Malaysia identifies the secondary allocation to the amateur service between 427-442 kHz.
